Welcome to Baobab Lodges & Camps. These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made directly with Baobab Lodges & Camps, located in the heart of Serengeti. By making a booking, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions, as they form a binding agreement between you and Baobab Lodges & Camps.

1. Booking Confirmation and Payment

• A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a 30% deposit of the total booking amount. The remaining balance must be settled no later than 30 days prior to the scheduled check-in date.
• Bookings made within 30 days of the arrival date require full payment at the time of booking.
• We accept payment via bank transfer or major credit/debit cards.

2. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations must be made in writing and sent to our official contact email.
• Cancellations received 60 days or more before the check-in date are eligible for a full refund, less a 5% administrative fee.
• Cancellations made 30 to 59 days before check-in will incur a 30% cancellation fee.
• Cancellations made 15 to 29 days before check-in will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
• Cancellations made 14 days or less before the arrival date are non-refundable.

3. Amendments and Changes

• Amendments to bookings (dates, room types, etc.) are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
• Changes requested within 30 days of the scheduled check-in date may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking.

4. No-Show Policy

• Guests who fail to arrive on the scheduled check-in date without prior notification will be charged the full booking amount.

5. Refund Policy

• Refunds are processed according to the cancellation policy above and are subject to processing times, typically within 14 business days.
• Refunds are issued only to the original method of payment.

6. Children and Extra Beds

• Children under 5 years stay free of charge when sharing with parents, subject to bed availability.
• Extra beds or cots may be available upon request at an additional charge.

7. Check-In and Check-Out Times

• Check-in time: 2:00 PM
• Check-out time: 11:00 AM
• Early check-ins and late check-outs may be requested but are subject to availability and additional charges.

8. Liability and Insurance

• Baobab Lodges & Camps is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage to persons or property. Guests are encouraged to secure travel insurance covering cancellations, medical expenses, and personal liability.
• Guests participate in any activities organized by the camp at their own risk.

9. Guest Conduct

• Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner respectful of other guests, staff, and the natural environment. Any damages caused by a guest to camp property may result in charges to cover repair or replacement costs.

10. Force Majeure

• Baobab Lodges & Camps is not liable for delays or cancellations resulting from unforeseen events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or political disturbances. We will offer reasonable alternatives or rescheduling where possible.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

• These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms will be resolved in Tanzanian courts.
