Our Story
Baobab Camps and Lodge was born out of a passion for the Serengeti’s untamed beauty and a commitment to providing travelers with a remarkable blend of comfort and wilderness. Our journey began with a deep respect for the land and its inhabitants, as well as a desire to share the magic of the Serengeti with adventurers from around the globe.

BAOBAB CAMPS & LODGES
The Baobab Tree is one of Africa’s most well-known and distinctive trees, and it serves as a gathering place for many African tribes.
The baobab is a symbol of untouched, eternal nature and traditional African life. Baobabs are frequently used as a symbol of the Garden of Eden in places with “holy” baobabs.
The Baobab Serengeti is an oasis and an ideal starting point in the Serengeti National Park’s central region. On the banks of the Orangi River, the camp is situated in a stunning location. The site where it now stands was once a German and then a British gold mining station during colonial times. In the midst of breathtaking nature, pure tranquility can be found.
The Baobab is a tree that grows in Africa. The Serengeti is home to one of the world’s most complex ecosystems. This is an important responsibility for us, and it is part of the process of establishing an eco-camp. Our electricity and hot water, for example, are entirely powered by solar energy. The organic waste is put into a compost pile, and plastic, metal, and other materials are taken to be recycled and reused.
Many years of personal experience and ideas were poured into the construction, such as the tent zippers. These are not as common as they appear to be, but they are found near windows and doors. Small gaps, which are frequently used by insects, are prevented by this construction.
It’s just one of the many small details that distinguish Baobab Serengeti. It’s all about the heart. At the BAOBAB SERENGETI, our team and our guests’ driver’s manuals are also pleased.
